QUALITY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAMME

The Quality Improvement Programme (QIP) launched by the Government of India in 1970 aims to enhance the quality of technical education in the country. The aspiration of the programme is to upgrade the expertise and proficiency of the faculty of the AICTE approved degree-level engineering institutions. The programme is now being implemented and monitored by the National QIP Coordination Committee (NQCC), funded by AICTE.
Objectives:
- Contributing opportunities to faculty to improve their qualifications by joining the Master and Ph.D Programmes.
- Organizing Short term courses at QIP Centers to acquire knowledge for Teachers and Research scholars.
GCE-Salem is a recognized QIP Centre from the year 2011onwards. In addition, institute recognized as the minor QIP Centre offers admission to Ph.D degree programmes (FT) under QIP in some specific departments:1. Civil Engineering 2.Mechanical Engineering 3. Electrical Engineering under QIP sponsored by AICTE.
