INSTITUTION INNOVATION COUNCIL
Institution Innovation Council was established with the approval of Ministry of Education through MoE’s Innovation Council in collaboration with AICTE for Higher education institutions(heis) to systematically nurture the culture of innovation and start –up ecosystem through multitudinous modes of activities such as Ideation, Problem solving, Design thinking, IPR ,Project handling and Management etc..
Mission of IIC
To create a vibrant local innovation ecosystem, establish Function Ecosystem for Scouting Ideas in students, enrich pre-incubation ideas and develop better Cognitive Ability for Technology Students.

QUALITY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAMME
(Sponsored by AICTE)
The Quality Improvement Programme (QIP) launched by the Government of India in 1970 aims to enhance the quality of technical education in the country. The aspiration of the programme is to upgrade the expertise and proficiency of the faculty of the AICTE approved degree-level engineering institutions. The programme is now being implemented and monitored by the National QIP Coordination Committee (NQCC), funded by AICTE.
Objectives:
GCE-Salem is a recognized QIP Centre from the year 2011onwards. In addition, institute recognized as the minor QIP Centre offers admission to Ph.D degree programmes (FT) under QIP in some specific departments:1. Civil Engineering 2.Mechanical Engineering 3. Electrical Engineering under QIP sponsored by AICTE.
