The coding club of GCE Salem is inaugurated with the aim to develop the problem solving skills of the students. During the club activities every week, interesting events are conducted to boost the logical thinking and problem solving abilities of the students.

Our coding club is a platform where like minded people come together to learn, share and grow in the field of programming.

          This club is to help the students to perform well in placements. The student’s coding skills can be enhanced and they can form a community and learn from others.

We conduct monthly contests on the topics discussed in the previous meets. The winners of contests will be awarded with encouraging prizes.

         

Outcome:

  •         Improved performance in placement

NYPS

NYPS

 

 

 

                    Government College of Engineering, Salem was registered in National Youth Parliament Scheme (NYPS) Tarun Sabha, Ministry of Parliament affairs. The main aim of NYPS is to enable the student community to know about practices and procedures of the parliament. The National Youth Parliament sitting of our institute was conducted on 27.05.2022 in the seminar hall of Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The event was organised by Principal Dr. R. Malayalamurthy, Coordinators Dr.K.T.Thilagam AP/Mett and Prof K.Jayanthi AP/ECE. Totally 55 students from various departments have participated in the event. The photos and full video of the event is available in NYPS web portal https://nyps.mpa.gov.in/. The Ministry of Parliament Affairs, Government of India, sent the Coordinator Certificate and participation certificates. The certificates were handed out by Principal Dr. R. Malayalamurthy and Head of the Department Dr.A.M.Kalpana on 22.11.2022 to the students.
