Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering

  The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) was started in the year 1966 with an intake of 40 students. Over the years, the Department has steadily grown and currently the student's intake is 60. Along with Undergraduate (UG) programme, the department offers a Post graduate programme in Power Electronics & Drives and was started in the year 2003 with an intake of 18 students. The Department has research center approved by Anna University Chennai. The Department has sufficient research supervisors in variety of fields.

UG PROGRAMME SPECIFIC OUTCOMES
 
  • PSO 1: Ability to identify, analyze and solve engineering problems in the domains of Design, Thermal and Manufacturing systems.
  • PSO 2: Ability to apply their knowledge in principle of design and analysis, in execution of automation in mechanical system / processes.

Library

The Library of GCE,  a house of books spreads over an area of 789.40 m2. There are eight active members including the librarian to maintain and have oversight of the process and services. It has a specialized collection of books, Journals, and other resources in sciences, Engineering, and technology.
